How do you sustain attention to the values and attributes of a retired Chairman? When Memorial Hermann contacted us to create an award that celebrated the human attributes of their retired Chairman, Dan S. Wilford, we were proud to undertake such a daunting challenge. But even more inspiring was that we were asked to create a design based on two employee design submissions! Now our task was to combine the best of both designs! And we did with the help of an amazing design and production team from one of our artisan partners. The base of this design is solid marble, a symbol of strength … the gold ring represents a circle of continuity … and the crystal spire symbolizes brilliance. Each of the ten crystal facets is inscribed with a Dan Wilford attribute. Each year a replica is bestowed on a Memorial Hermann employee of the organizations who emulates Dan's values and character.
