CEO Netweavers is an organization of CEOs and trusted service providers, sharing experiences, skills and relationships to help each other and their communities without expecting anything in return.  In business leadership this principle of serving without expectation of return is called servant leadership.

When CEO Netweavers Houston Chapter held their inaugural Servant Leadership conference this past spring, they decided to honor an individual who modeled the attributes of a servant leader. 

Their choice was Dr. Roy D. Farmer, a man who walks the walk of serving his fellow man.  Dr. Farmer was the originator of the Between Jobs Ministry at  Northwest Bible Church in Houston.  How has he served his fellow man?  How about putting people together … a job seeker with a grateful employer?  BJM, with Dr. Farmer’s leadership, has placed over 6000 people in jobs.  For him, and many spirit-filled volunteers, the work of rescuing people from being unemployed … even sometimes the shame and hopelessness of not being wanted, is a life calling.

A deserving recipient, Dr. Farmer was genuinely touched by the award and the elements of stone woven together and crystal embracing of the world.  We were pleased to honor such a giving man.
